BackOps Pro and Org Pass: Organization-Level Licenses

What the BackOps Pro core seat and the Org Pass give a person, who should hold each, and how seats are assigned to members of your organization.

Two licenses work at the organization level: BackOps Pro, the core seat every organization has, and Org Pass, an add-on for people who work with the organization's records but not inside events. Seats on both are assigned to members of your organization.

BackOps Pro

BackOps Pro is the seat for the people who plan and run your events. A BackOps Pro seat holder can:

  • Work across the organization: crew, collaborators, inventory, templates, documents, and the cross-event Schedule, Tasks, Procurements, and Orders
  • Create events. Only BackOps Pro seat holders can.
  • Enter any event in the organization and work in it without using an Event Pass seat

Every organization holds a BackOps Pro license from the day it is created, and the person who creates the organization takes the first seat. Each BackOps Pro seat also adds to the organization's pooled usage allowances for AI credits and storage.

Org Pass

An Org Pass gives access to organization-level pages without working access inside events. It fits people whose work is the organization's records: someone keeping the crew database current, a warehouse coordinator, an accountant reading cross-event views. If an Org Pass holder also needs to work on a particular event, add them to that event with an Event Pass seat.

Org Pass seats do not add to usage allowances.

Assigning Seats

Seats are given to people when you add them as members: choose the license in the Account section of the dialog. For someone who has not signed up yet, BackOps holds the seat for their email address until they do. A held seat counts as used. Removing a member's access frees their seat.

The Seats row in Settings › Billing shows how many seats are used and open, and which members hold them. To buy more, see Managing billing.

A license sets the ceiling of what someone can reach. Their permissions still decide what they can do. A BackOps Pro seat holder with read-only permissions on an event can read, not edit.
