Event Settings
How to update an event's name, image, type, location, default collaborator, attributes, and intake answers from the event settings pages.
Event settings are where administrators configure and manage the details of an event. The settings pages you see depend on your permissions on the event. Under Event are General, Intake, Bulletin, Crewing, and Collaborators (the last three for event admins), and under Resources are Resources, Modules, and Advances.
Getting There
Click the event name
Open Event Settings
General
The General tab holds the event's core details.
Event image is the picture shown for the event in the event selector and the events list. Event name is the name displayed for the event across the platform; select Save to apply a change.
Event type sets the event's type, which defines its attribute profile. Use the picker to set a type, or to change the one already assigned. Changing the type reshapes the profile to the new type's sections, and any values you have already filled in are preserved. If the new type has an intake form, its intake needs answering, as described under Intake below. See The Event Profile for how type changes affect the profile.
Event location is the physical location the event takes place at. Default collaborator is the collaborator people are added to when nothing more specific applies. A collaborator cannot be deleted while it is the default.
When the event has a type, Event attributes shows the event's profile, with its sections, attributes, and roles, so you can fill in values here as well as on the event dashboard.
The bottom of the tab holds Archive event, covered in Archiving, Restoring, and Deleting Events. Deleting an event is done from the organization's events table, not from here.
Intake
The Intake page shows the answers the event was created from, along with the date they were submitted. Select Edit answers to change them, then Save. Each edited answer shows when it was changed and by whom, and changing an answer runs any of the type's effects that look at it.
When an event's type changes to a type with a different intake form, the earlier answers stay readable as history and the page explains that the type changed. Answers do not carry over between forms, so the new intake starts blank. If the event returns to a type whose form it already answered, those earlier answers become current again and no new intake is needed. Select Answer intake, fill in the new questions, and Submit to run the new type's effects. The same applies when an event without an intake gains a type that has one.
If the event's type has Intake required to enter turned on, nobody can open the event until that intake is submitted. Organization members who try are taken to the intake; others see that the event is still being set up.
If the event was not created through an intake form, or you do not have access to its answers, the page shows No intake. How intake forms are built is covered in Intake Forms.
