Creating, duplicating, printing and deleting dynamic documents
Find the Dynamic Docs library in an event, create a document, rename and duplicate it, print it to PDF, and understand what deleting a document removes.
Dynamic Docs lives in the event's Documents section, next to Files. The library lists the event's documents on the left and previews the selected one on the right, with its live data. Creating and managing documents needs the event's Edit documents permission.
Creating a Document
Open Dynamic Docs
Create the document
Name it
There is no setup dialog or template picker. Name documents for what they are and who they are for, such as "Main Stage Day Sheet", "Crew Directory" or "Vendor Package".
The editor saves as you type; the top bar shows Saving..., then Saved. If it shows Failed to save, keep the page open and check your connection before navigating away.
If someone else saved the document since you opened it, your next save is refused and the editor reloads the latest version with This document was updated elsewhere. Showing the latest version. Edits since your last successful save (usually the last few seconds) are lost, so check the reloaded content before you carry on.
Finding Documents
All of an event's documents are in one flat list, with no folders. Use Search docs... to filter it by name. Click a document to preview it; open it to edit.
Renaming and Duplicating
Each document's menu in the list has Open, Share, Rename, Duplicate and Delete.
Duplicate makes an independent copy in the same event, named with "copy" on the end. The copy keeps the content, the variables and any uploaded images, but not the shares or public links: share the copy again before sending it out. The copy opens straight away. Duplicating is how you start a new document from one that already works, since there are no templates.
Printing to PDF
Click Print in the editor's top bar to print the document or save it as a PDF through your browser's print dialog. Add a Page Break block where you want a new page to start. To get one query block's rows as a spreadsheet instead, use its Export CSV option; see query blocks.
Deleting a Document
Choose Delete from the document's menu and confirm. Deleting is permanent: there is no archive, draft state or version history, and the document's uploaded images are deleted with it.
