Event Drive sections, Shared with me and navigation
How the event Drive is split into Event, collaborator and area sections, who sees each one, and where Shared with me and the Shared folder fit.
Every event has one Drive. It is split into sections so files sit with the part of the event they belong to, and so access can follow the event's own structure: a collaborator's crew see their collaborator's files without anyone building a share list.

The Drive's own sidebar lists Event, Shared with me, Collaborators and Areas. Use Search folders... to jump to a folder by name.
The Sections of the Event Drive
Event holds files for the whole event: the master schedule, site plans, production-wide documents. You see it if you can read the event.
Collaborators has one section per collaborator on the event, for files that belong to that company or act: a band's backline rider, a vendor's certificate of insurance. Event admins and people who can read all collaborators see every section; anyone else sees the collaborators they have a role on.
Areas has one section per area, for files tied to a place: a stage plot, an area safety plan. The same rule applies with area roles.
What you can do inside a section depends on your role there. Read access lets you open and download files. The Edit files role on an event, collaborator or area lets you upload and edit. The Files admin role, or an admin role on the event, collaborator or area, lets you share and delete as well.
Shared with me
Shared with me lists every file and folder shared with you as a crew member, wherever it lives in the Drive. Files you create are shared with you automatically as an admin, so they appear here too. It is the quickest way to check the files you are personally reviewing or responsible for.
The Shared Folder
Inside each collaborator and area section there is a Shared folder. It lists files and folders from elsewhere in the Drive that were shared with that collaborator or area. People in that collaborator or area use them at the level they were shared with, capped by their own role. The Event section has no Shared folder, because files are shared with crew, collaborators and areas, not with the event.
